Better connected preview #5: housing

Housing is the subject of the latest commentary on the quality and presentation of UK council websites to be published by Socitm Insight.
It is one of seven compilations of comments by Socitm's website review team trailing the launch of Better connected 2013, the latest edition of the annual survey of all council websites.
Summaries from six other local authority service areas will be published on a weekly basis ahead of publication of Better connected on 1 March.
The reviewers' comments describe the overall experience of finding information about housing on council websites. This meant finding answers to questions like:
- Does the service landing page link me directly to this task?
- Is there an explanation about whether I am eligible for a council house?
- Can I find a list of social landlords with contact details?
