Don't lose your Better connected rating!

Councils without a subscription to Socitm Insight have until Friday 19 October to take one out if they wish to see their website survey results published in Better connected 2013.
In a change of practice from the last 14 years of Better connected, while Socitm will continue to survey the sites of all 433 UK councils, it will publish named results only for those councils that subscribe to Socitm Insight. Exceptions to this will be made for non-subscribers who have pre-ordered a copy of the report. They must do this by 19 October, in advance of the start of the survey.
The change will affect the minority of councils that do not subscribe to Socitm Insight, but will not affect the comprehensive nature of the survey, which uses a 'mystery shopping' approach to assess the usefulness and usability of council websites. Sites are scored on a scale one to four, with four stars being the highest score.
The top tasks to be reviewed in the 2013 survey have also been confirmed. Read the press release for details of 2013 top tasks and to ensure your results will be fully included in Better connected 2013.
