Socitm South Brings It's Own Tech to Apple's HQ for their regional event next week...
Tuesday 10th July 2012
South Region will be running an event on Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT) at Apple's HQ in Stockley Park on 13 Friday July.
This promises to be an excellent day that will explore consumerisation of equipment, Mobile Device Management and financing models, Apple's move to directly supporting the public sector, a case study on modern working and BYOT, and a workshop on defining the breadth of policies (technical and non-technical) required to make this happen.
Nick Roberts, Surrey County Council's Group Manager for Customer Services and Partnerships and chair of the South Region said; "We have been trying to put on an event about BYOT for some months and only now have been able to pull together the wealth of experience required to make this a worthwhile event. With Specialist Computer Centre's and Apple's support, we should be able to explore all of the key issues on CIO's minds about a subject we can't ignore and will happen whether we act or not."
The event is open to all Socitm members and guests from their organisations and details can be found on the South events pages.
