Local CIO Council and related groups
The Local CIO Council (LCIO) was set up by Socitm in 2008 at the invitation of John Suffolk, the Government's Chief Information Officer. It represents the views and interests of local government to the main Government CIO and CTO Councils.
The Local CIO Council also acts as the keystone for the Society's external influence in groups spanning central-local government and the public-third-private sectors, including the Local Government Delivery Council and the Socitm-Intellect Supplier Forum.
