Socitm AGM, 11th May 2011, London

Socitm Spring Conference 2011

Not only is the AGM a time for members to vote for the new President & Vice President, witness the current President pass on his presidency to the new President and hear about their plans for the forthcoming year, it's a great opportunity for delegates to contribute to the on-going work of the Society.

This year the Society's AGM was held during their Spring Conference on the 11th May and, saw Glyn Evans confirmed as the new 2011 Socitm President and Nadira Hussain elected as a new Vice President.  We wish them well in their new roles and hope they succeed with their plans for the year ahead.

Socitm President's Dinner, 11th May 2011, London

As part of our 25th Anniversary celebrations, the President's Dinner was moved from its traditional September staging, to the evening of the Society's Spring Conference which, was held at the Royal College of Surgeons, London. Hosted in the venue's magnificent Edward Lumley Hall, the meal was a huge success and guest's hungry appetites for good food and effective networking with colleagues, peers and key suppliers were definitely satisfied.

Both the Spring Conference and President's Dinner were sponsored by the global leaders in Business Process Excellence Software AG. Details of all the event's sponsors and exhibitors can been found here.

President's Charity Auction

Oxfam

Each year the President's Dinner hosts a charity auction in support of the President's chosen charity.

This year, £3625 was raised and all proceeds will go to Oxfam, a vibrant global movement of passionate, dedicated people fighting poverty and doing amazing work, together; from saving lives and developing projects that put poor people in charge of their lives and livelihoods, to campaigning for change that lasts.

Socitm would like to thank CSC, BT, Microsoft,  Service Birmingham, TekNet, SAP, Computacenter, EMC2, RosettaStone, Dreamtek and Capita  for their kind donations and also the winning bidders for digging deep and spending so generously!
