East

This Socitm region includes members in county, district and unitary authorities in the areas of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk, and in all other public or private sector organisations that have offices within this region.

East Midlands

This Socitm region includes members in county, district and unitary authorities in the areas of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire, and in all other public or private sector organisations that have offices within this region.

London

SOCITM London has over 250 members from London organisations including:

  • London boroughs
  • Private sector
  • Charities
  • Greater London Authority
  • London fire
  • Hospitals
  • Transport for London
  • Central government
  • Housing Associations

North East

This Socitm region includes members in county, district, metropolitan districts and unitary authorities in the areas of Cleveland, Durham, Northumberland and Tyne & Wear, and in all other public or private sector organisations that have offices within this region.

North West

This Socitm region includes members in county, district, metropolitan districts and unitary authorities in the areas of Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside, and in all other public or private sector organisations that have offices within this region.

Northern Ireland

This branch was formed in January 2005 and will represent the interests of local IT managers in Northern Ireland. The branch holds regular meetings and quarterly public events each year. Details of past and future events can be viewed on our events page. SOCITM NI has over 70 members made up of representatives from central and local government and the local supplier community.

This Socitm region includes members in all the local authorities in Northern Ireland, and in any other public or private sector organisations that have offices within Northern Ireland.

Scotland

The Scottish region of Socitm has over a 100 members. It holds regional meetings 4 times a year when guest speakers from both the public and private sector are invited to come and speak on topics of interest to our members. Topics range from important management issues affecting senior IT people to hot technical issues. These regional meeting are also a great opportunity to network with colleagues. The region also runs a strong information security sub-group for security officers. Besides regional meetings a number o f members represent SOCITM on Scottish and UK groups helping to influence the direction of IT in the public sector. Our aim for the coming year is to increase the number of regional members from outside local government as joint working across the public becomes even more important in the current economic climate.

South

This Socitm region includes members in county, district and unitary authorities in the areas of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Hampshire (and Isle of Wight), Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey, and West Sussex, and in all other public or private sector organisations that have offices within this region.

South West

This Socitm region includes members in county, district and unitary authorities in the areas of Avon, Cornwall (including Isles of Scilly), Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire, and in all other public or private sector organisations that have offices within this region.

Wales

This Socitm region includes members in local authorities in Wales, and in any other public or private sector organisations that have offices within Wales.

West Midlands

The West Midlands regional group is made up of members from a variety of public, private and voluntary sector organisations; from large metropolitan city councils and multinational companies, to small boroughs and charities.

We hold regional meetings, which are free to all members 3 times a year. These are opportunities to learn from others, share best practice, listen to presentations on topical issues, catch up on Socitm activities and importantly to network with colleagues.

The region is committed to supporting and helping to develop ICT professionals and the services they deliver to their organisations in the region. If you would like to get involved please contact a member of the Executive Committee.

Yorkshire and Humber

This Socitm region includes members in county, district, metropolitan district and unitary authorities in the areas of Humberside, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire, and in all other public or private sector organisations that have offices within this region.
