About Socitm Futures
Socitm Futures advises the NAC and the Socitm Board on policies Socitm should adopt on key issues affecting public sector ICT. In order to inform its development of policies for Socitm, Socitm Futures may commission research, survey members' views and take evidence from key Government and industry stakeholders.
The chair of Socitm Futures is Dylan Roberts from Leeds City Council. Support and programme management is provided by Martin Ferguson.
Like the National Advisory Council, Socitm Futures is a representative group whose core membership is drawn from the Socitm regions, DWP (Gov Connect), CESG, Fire, Socitm' vendor community and private advisors.

Leonard Anderson - Socitm Consulting
Leonard is accountable for feeding back on EURIM and providing the Socitm policy view into EURIM:
The Information Society Alliance, which brings together politicians, officials and industry to help improve the quality of policy formation, consultation, scrutiny, implementation and monitoring in support of the creation of a globally competitive, socially inclusive and democratically accountable information society. It works across all boundaries to help set the agenda, stage constructive debate and report on progress.
Tom Baker - Sunderland City Council
Tom is Head of IT at Sunderland City Council and represents North East Region for Socitm Futures.
Mark Brett - Cabinet Office
Mark is responsible for Information Assurance and provides a link into LGA's work in this area for Futures.
David Bryant - Hytec Information Security Ltd & Chair of Socitm Commercial Board
David is the industry representative on Futures.
Martyn Croft - Salvation Army
Martyn is CIO of the Salvation Army and Futures' representative for the third sector.
Cliff Dean - Nottingham City Council
Cliff is Futures' representative for East Midlands Region
Martin Ferguson - Policy Director
Martin programme manages Futures and leads the development and promotion of Socitm responses to major issues around public sector ICT, including data management and sharing; partnerships and outsourcing; self service; flexible working; and the pan-government security vision. He also drives associated stakeholder engagement with central and local government and the third and private sectors.
Martin Greenwood - Socitm Insight
Martin runs Socitm Insight subscription service to which over 400 local authorities and other public sector organisations now subscribe. Futures will help inform Martin's thinking in terms of policy priorities, future research and publications. Martin will also feedback to Futures based on the works he and his team carry out across the sector.
Adrian Hancock - Chief Executive
Adrian provides the link to corporate strategy within the society.
Chris Head - Socitm Insight and Kingston University
Chris is at the forefront of developing Socitm Insight's thinking around key priority areas of information management and citizen/staff engagement (particularly use of social media) and links with universities.
David Hopkins - Milton Keynes Council
David is a Councillor at Milton Keynes Council and represents of Socitm East region.
Doug MacLean/Chris Morton - Socitm Consulting
Doug and Chris represent Socitm Consulting both in gaining valuable knowledge to take to clients and feeding back on experiences and real life application of Socitm policy.
Neil Moore - Hampshire Fire & Rescue
Neil is Head of ICT at Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service. Neil represents the Fire & Rescue community for Socitm Futures.
Simon Norbury - Industry Consultant
Simon currently provides the link to and from the current central government programmes of G-cloud and the Public Sector Network from a local public services perspective.
Dylan Roberts - Leeds City Council (Chair)
Dylan is CIO of Leeds City Council and Chair of Socitm Futures. Dylan also represents Yorkshire & Humber region.
Jacky Scobell - Kent County Council
Jacky is ICT Strategy Manager at Kent CC and represents South Region for Socitm Futures.
Roger Marshall - Socitm
Roger represents IT Trends for Futures.
