Mark Brett
Mark Brett - Policy and Programme Manager
Mark is responsible for the programme delivery of the Local Government CIO Council, Socitm Futures and the Society's interaction with Government IT Professionalism programme. Mark coordinates a number of other groups within Socitm, including the Socitm Police Group. On behalf of the society, he is the Co-Chair of the pan-government National Information Assurance Forum. Mark is Programme Director of the National Local Authority WARP Programme.
With over 25 years experience of Local Government, gained at the Local, Regional and National level, Mark's career has covered ICT Management, Housing, Emergency Planning and the Police Service. Mark has recently authored the Local Authority Data Handling Guidelines for the LGA. Mark holds a Masters Research degree in Strategic Management from London Metropolitan University and is a Chartered Fellow of the BCS and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
