National Advisory Council
Meeting minutes
The National Advisory Council (NAC) comprises representatives from all key areas of Socitm membership The NAC's role is to:
- Provide a source of advice to Socitm Board by acting as a "critical friend" in the development and review of policies and decisions and to provide support in identifying and implementing new plans and ideas.
- Facilitate engagement and dialogue between the Socitm Board and Socitm's constituent groups ensuring that the consensus views of the constituent groups are communicated to Socitm Board through the Socitm Board representatives.
- Act as a forum to facilitate engagement and dialogue among all Regional and representative groups and recognised areas of activity and interest existing within Socitm membership
- Represent the views and best interests of Socitm's members
NAC encompasses the following Groups and bodies currently recognised within Socitm:
- 12 Regional groups
- Fire Group
- Police Group
- Civil Society
- Web professionals
- Retired members
Membership also includes representatives from Socitm Board and Membership Board to ensure strong links and lines of communication.
