Outcome Based Commissioning
This course will cover smart approaches to commissioning and procurement which focus on outcomes.
To an increasing extent public sector organisations are focussing more on being a commissioner and manager of services, and less on the direct provision of all services. Encouraged by the Glover report on improving public procurement, there is also a growing shift towards output-based commissioning and procurement as a means of driving innovation. While the course is primarily focused on ICT procurement it covers both goods and services and so is of general interest to those in procurement who wish to adapt to a more outcome-based approach.
