This month saw an important milestone for ICT. 4G mobile telephony, offering download speeds an order of magnitude faster than 3G, will arrive in some parts of the country within weeks, certainly before Christmas.

That is far earlier than the anticipated auction of the necessary spectrum this winter with contracts awarded in 2013. However, its impact will depend again on where you work and live.
