Produced by: Member Services
Type: Presentations
A presentation about the Socitm Continuing Professional Development Scheme, its benefits and how to participate.
Socitm introduced its Continuing Professional Development Scheme in 2004, with aims of:
- Promoting the profession as a whole within the public sector
- Supporting members in their efforts to respond to the challenges on implementing ICT in the rapidly changing environment that now exists in the public sector
- Enabling Socitm members to demonstrate to their employers and colleagues their own professional competencies
The scheme provides a way of recording formally activities which members should in any event be undertaking to maintain and improve their professional skills, so making such activities 'visible' to employers and colleagues.
This presentation by Socitm's CPD manager provides further information about the scheme and was presented to the East Midlands region in June 2006.
